The students design a castle with the shaped blocks donated from Mr. Rosner.
Dear Families,
We started this week off with a fabulous and uplifting performance from Bill Harley. His storytelling and songs made us laugh and dance. In your child’s Friday take-home work is a copy of their reflections after Bill’s visit.
After reading the book One by Kathryn Otoshi, Mrs. Nelson and myself felt that the message in the book was too powerful not to share with our school community. On Wednesday, December 9th the first grade will perform a skit based on the story One. As a whole first grade we made a list of characters and other important jobs that we will need to put on a show. Each student has an important job and has shown excitement in this project. Next week and after Break we will continue rehearsing and creating costumes. If you have not read this book please ask your child what it was about or you can always borrow our class copy.
Important Reminders!
Next Tuesday the whole school will come together to run the Turkey Trot. I encourage all family members to join us. The race begins at 1:30! Hope to see you there.
Thanksgiving Break - No school Wednesday November 25th-27th. Classes resume on Monday, November 30th.
